“Know and Live in the Will of God”

The Indian Ocean is known for Peculiar and Monster Storms, Typhoons and Monsoons.   They are usually very big and do not move rapidly like our hurricanes.  They come and stay and usually move around in a circle.

Sea Captains and Navigators have learned the characteristics of these storms and know not to try to find their way out of one.  They locate the center of the storm and they stay right there until it plays out.  Why?  Because in the center of the storm is a dead calm!

Like “God’s Will” when we try to live outside of it we find destruction.  Get into the center of the very “Will of God” and you will find the calm, good life.  God showers His blessings on the one who understands and is fully persuaded of the perfect “Will Of God”.  Don’t ever fight against God!!

Look at Ephesians 5:10-17 for insight to discover what “understanding the will of the Lord” is really all about.  Paul said, “See that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”  Wise people of God spend much time in study of the word and are busy putting it to practice in their lives.  The Psalmist said, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!  Through Your word I get understanding…, Your testimonies are wonderful, therefore my soul keeps them.  The entrance of Your words gives light;  It gives understanding to the simple.  I opened my mouth and panted.  For I longed for Your commandments.  Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name.  Direct my steps by Your word.” Psalm 119:103-104,129-133.

Oh happy is the servant who dwells in the word of God and has fallen in love with the Son of God, Jesus Christ.  Are you living in the “calm, good life” of the word of God?   Let’s once again become known as “the people of the Book”.
